ASHEBORO — Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) was in Asheboro last week as part of a bus tour highlighting challenges faced by small businesses due federal regulations and taxes.

Budd was joined by county commission chair Darrell Frye, State Sen. Dave Craven and State Rep. Allen McNeill. PEMMCO Manufacturing hosted the event in Asheboro and the company’s president, Rick Powell led a tour of the company’s operations.

The Job Creators Network awarded Budd with the “Defender of Small Business Award” during the event.

“I want job creators across North Carolina to know that there are men and women from Washington to Raleigh to Asheboro who know their challenges and have their backs,” said Budd. “For as long as I hold public office, I will do my best to be the voice of North Carolina’s job creators in Washington, so that more North Carolinians can live the American dream.”
