The Hoke County Farm Service Agency is currently taking applications for the following programs with deadlines:
OTECP: The Organic and Transitional Education and Certification Program (OTECP) provides cost share for certification costs for organic producers and handlers, eligible expenses for transitional producers, registration fees for educational events, and soil testing. Applications are due by October 31, 2022.
OCCSP: The Organic Certification Cost Share Program (OCCSP) provides cost share assistance to producers and handlers of agricultural products who are obtaining or renewing their certification under the National Organic Program. Applications are due by October 31, 2022.
LFP: The Livestock Forage Disaster Program (LFP) provides payments to eligible livestock owners and contract growers who have covered livestock and who are also producers of grazed forage crop acreage that have suffered a loss of grazed forage due to a qualifying drought during the normal grazing period for the county. Applications are due by January 30, 2023.
