Federal and local law enforcement cooperate on drug bust

RAEFORD — Federal agents were in Hoke County early Friday assisting local law enforcement executing a search warrant that resulted the seizure of drugs and guns and the arrest of a man at a home in Raeford.

The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office’s Violent Crimes Task Force and Special Operations Division conducted a search warrant at a residence located near the 200 block of Granger Road in Raeford, NC. As a result of the search warrant investigators and Agents seized several firearms, over two thousand grams of suspected Marijuana, MDMA/Fentanyl, drug Paraphernalia, and a large amount of U.S. currency, according to a release from Hoke Sheriff Roderick Virgil’s office.

The Sheriff’s Office also announced that Isaac Singletary, 24, of Raeford, NC was arrested at a residence on Grainger Road in the Potter’s Ridge subdivision without incident. Singletary was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count of Trafficking Opium/Heroin, one count Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and or deliver Marijuana, and one count of possession of Marijuana/Paraphernalia. Singletary was given a $250,000.00 secured bond and placed into the Hoke County Detention Center.

Agents from the U.S. Marshals Service and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted in the operation.
